Less than most adjustable hoops. The crank sits tight against the pole and there are no linkage arms swinging out the back, so you only need a minimum of 280 mm from the back of the anchor plate to a wall or fence. That's about 300 mm from the back of the main pole.

Hoops that adjust with parallel linkage arms need extra clearance behind the pole for the arms to move.

Yes. Our adjustable hoops are engineered for dunking. They've been dynamically tested with a 113 kg load dropped about 150 mm onto the outermost point of the rim, creating an estimated impact force of 3.3 to 5.8 kN. The hoop showed no damage after the first drop or repeated drops, and the manufacturer's engineer has confirmed the testing supports a 113 kg player dunking. Testing is based on ASTM F1882-15.

Normal dunking is exactly what the hoop is built for. We don't recommend hanging or swinging from the rim.

On court, you'll barely notice a difference. Ball bounce off the perforated aluminium backboard is almost identical to tempered glass.

We originally made the perforated aluminium backboard for hoops in public places, where vandalism of tempered glass was a real risk. It can't shatter, so it suits schools, parks and exposed courts, and it's been very successful in this space.

The look has since taken off in backyards too, especially on 3x3 style courts built for a streetball feel. Prefer the classic look? Tempered glass is still the traditional choice.

Yes. Every hoop comes with everything you need except the concrete and tools.

Your hoop ships on one oversized pallet and is delivered kerbside, to the nearest accessible kerb or driveway. The truck has a tailgate and pallet trolley, so make sure it can reach your property. Moving the pallet onto your court and setup aren't included.

Every hoop is stocked in our Melbourne warehouse, so we don't build to order. Orders are usually dispatched within 5 business days, or you can arrange to pick up from our Melbourne warehouse.

Yes. Each hoop arrives in four main pieces with a step by step installation guide, and the hinged anchor system means no crane is needed.

Every Dominator hoop is anchored in a concrete footing built to our Australian engineering specifications. Footing size depends on the model and your ground, so check the engineering specs before you dig. If your site is reactive clay, sand or fill, follow the guidance in the specs or talk to us first.

Take date and time stamped photos of the hole and anchor before you pour. You'll need them for your warranty.

Every hoop has a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects for as long as you own it, covering the frame and components. Normal wear, weather wear to finishes, accidental damage and misuse aren't covered.

If a part is faulty, we assess your claim from photos in Melbourne and send the replacement part to you at our cost. Read the full warranty.
